The Scapegoat

Posted by madelinesmind on May 2, 2007

THE SCAPEGOAT As you know I love the apprentice, I watch it fully aware that it is edited for television and that we never really see the full picture. However, as I say don’t call me at 9:00pm on a Wednesday night, I’m busy!

Now I have watched with interest over the last few weeks this thing that is going on with Adam. Is it me or has he become The Scapegoat as opposed to the Apprentice? From the moment the programme started I knew that it if Paul’s team lost Adam was going in the board room! Now was it because he was contraditory, agressive, problem causing or anything else unsavoury? Oh No! Nothing so sophisticated!! The old strategy of the Scapegoatk, set him up for a fall and blame on!!

It Paul and Katie have been in cahoots since the other week with their gardening project, it would take a blind man not to see that love was blooming there! Katie hates Adam and so her knight in shining armour must rid her of her enemy! OK Mads you’ve possibly gone a little far now. So the guy who sells the most, gets things done and doesn’t have a plum in his mouth is the problem.

If you ask me Paul was duped by Katie, he has no chance between Christine and Adam he should have taken in Katie and Gazelle since they did nothing to get anything sold. Gazelle came up with the most stupid idea of selling cheese to the coniseaurs of cheese and Katie is so head over heels that she really is of no use to any one right now.

Poor Adam!! Not only is he now the standard scapegoat he has also received one of the coldest return to the house receptions on record!! Wouldn’t it be great if he won, just to spite the rest of them!!!! LOL

Synergy

Posted by madelinesmind on May 2, 2007

It’s been amazing over the last few weeks to see how much synergy there has been between those I have met recently and myself. Faith plays a really big part in my life and it has taken me through some rocky situations. What I have noticed now more than ever is that as you gain clarity about your purpose, people are placed into your life that enable you to enhance that clarity and achieve your bigger picture.

The great thing about synergy is that those who experience it no matter what it is they are doing or where they are on their journey don’t feel the need to compete but more the need to collaborate and support.

I have some very strong women as my best friends, these are people who I can cry with, laugh with and be myself with. I am fortunate that this number of women seem to be increasing as more people are brought into my life to help me along my way as I help them along theirs. I’m loving the synergy right now!

Selfworth is such a funny ole thing

Posted by madelinesmind on May 2, 2007

It’s funny isn’t it how must of us are really good at boosting the confidence of others but struggle with the concept of self worth ourselves. Day in day out we compare ourselves to others thinking that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, not often knowing that those same people we think have it all made are going through similar conflicts to those that we are experiencing ourselves.

Having kids, I know realise that the issues around self worth start from very young and the most innocent comments left unexplained have the most detrimental effects on the young heart, soul and mind. Sometimes I listen to myself talking to my oldest daughter and realise that whilst I’m dishing out great advice, I am not always delivering it in a way that builds self worth for the recipient. (I tell you, parenting is such a big responsibility!!!)

www.dictionary.com (I love the internet!) defines self worth as…”the sense of one’s own value or worth as a person; self-esteem; self-respect” How many of us see ourselves as people of value? We are taught from young to down play who we are and our skill set, so that we don’t “get above our station.” I say to hell with it, life is too short to spend your time down playing yourself all the time and reducing your effectiveness in every aspect of your life.

Self worth works two ways, I’m choosing the more positive self acceptance side right now, why don’t you join me?
